Support Wings 138 Support Chock 90

Support wings 138 support chock 90. They contact the first and second post guides and deflect inward as they raise. As wings 138 deflect inward, they raise the hinge axis, thereby raising the upper chocking member 114. The lower chocking member 98 also rises. Both parts of the chock act together to support the chock. This mechanism enables the chock 90 to rise. The chocks 90 and wings138 are located on the first and second posts of the frame.

Wings 138 are supported by support members 150. The support wings are generally triangular in shape, with a forward edge 142 and a bottom edge 146. A second hinge section 150 extends from the support wing. The support members are attached to the upper chocking member 114 via hinge pins 154 extending through the first hinge section 134 of the upper chocking member 114 and the second hinge section 150 of the support wing. Regardless of their orientation, the supports 138 will contact the guides as they move toward the front end of the chock.

To lower and raise the chock, the Wings 138 contact the first and second post guides and then deflect inward. As the wings 138 deflect inward, the hinge axis is raised, and the upper chocking member 114 and lower chocking member 98 are both elevated. The wings 138 also contact the first post guide 164 and second post guide 168, respectively. Moreover, they also contact the first post guide 164, and may also be slightly raised if necessary.
